Our rooms were a sanctuary of comfort, featuring premium bedding, air conditioning, and views of the lush garden that reminded me of my own lush tea estates back in Galle. The breakfast experience was a highlight; every morning we were treated to a buffet of homemade delicacies that celebrated the region's culinary charm. After engaging our senses over a delightful meal, we would often find ourselves lounging by the sparkling seasonal outdoor pool, basking in the Tuscan sun—a far cry from my busy plantation routine.
